Air Force One in Palm Springs, CA

President Barack Obama stopped by with Air Force One in Palm Springs this weekend to meet with the president of Jordan and enjoy a few rounds of golf. While the president was busy in Sunnylands, his plane, Air Force One, was on display at the Palm Springs International Airport.

Over the weekend, you could walk right up to the fence along the south side of the Palm Springs Airport to take photos of Air Force One. However, security was a lot higher on Monday morning before the president left the valley–I was asked several times to stand further away. The photo above was taken just off of Ramon Road by the Valero station.

Kirk Douglas Way was closed between Ramon Road and El Cielo road over the weekend, leaving Tahquitz Canyon Way as the only available entrance to the Palm Springs Airport.

While Palm Springs has long been a favorite location for snowbirds and destination weddings, we’re glad to see that the President has made two visits to Palm Springs in the past year and we hope to see him visit the Coachella valley again soon!
